Privacy

Short version: this site sets no cookies, and the numbers you type never leave your browser.

What you type

Every sum runs on your own device. Your numbers are not sent to us and not stored on a server. There is no account to make and no database.

If you change a unit — feet to metres, say — we save that one choice in your browser so you do not have to set it again. That stays on your device. It is not an ID, and we cannot read it.

Cookies

We set none. That is why you see no cookie banner. The only thing kept on your device is the unit choice above, and that is there because you made it.

Adverts

We plan to show adverts later to pay for the site. Ad networks do set cookies. When that happens we will update this page first, and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

Analytics

We count page views. The company that hosts this site runs a small script that records which page you asked for, the country your request came from, the kind of device and browser, and how long the page took to load.

It stores nothing on your device. No cookie, no ID, nothing that could recognise you tomorrow or on another site. That is why there is no banner to dismiss.

We see totals, not people. Your IP address is not shown to us.
